The Local Government of Buhi (LGU-Buhi) placed under lockdown part of barangay Tambo yesterday after Bicol # 829 dies of Covid-19.

The Facebook post of LGU Buhi Official says, “Sa ngowan, magpapaotob na nin localized lockdown sa vicinidad nya residencia nya nasabing pasyente segun sa eksistidong health protocol.” [ To date, localized lockdown imposed within the immediate vicinity of the residence of a said patient subject to existing health protocols].

“Mawot nyana Contact Tracing Team nyading satun na banwaan na maestablisar ag maisyan kin sari nakuko o nahawa a nasabing pasyente nin CoViD-19.” [LGU-Buhi Contact Tracing Team wants to know where Bicol #829 gets the infection of Covid-19 and enforced lockdown at the immediate vicinity of her residence in Tambo], said LGU-Buhi Official.

Bicol # 829 is 65 years old, female, and residing at barangay Tambo, Buhi, Camarines Sur. She is the first Boinen who succumb to death from this deadly virus. She arrived in Tambo from Laguna on July 3, 2020, and immediately admitted to a hospital due to renal (kidney) and heart ailment.

Last Tuesday, August 18, Bicol #829 go to Bicol Medical Center in Naga City to consult the doctor of her ailment only to find that she has symptoms of Covid-19. Bicol #829 expired on the following day, August 19, said LGU-Buhi Official.

In a related story, the Department of Health (DOH) reveals that older people (average of 66 years) and those with underlying medical conditions, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, chronic lung disease, and immunosuppression, are vulnerable to this disease.
