Mayor Margarita M. Aguinillo assures the public the proper use and care of the three new ambulances the Local Government of Buhi (LGU-Buhi) acquired from the Department of Health (DOH) last Tuesday, August 18 at DOH Regional office 5 in Legaspi City.

Aguinillo, in a video message posted on Facebook page LGU Buhi Official, said that “ana bagong ambulansya dapat magamit nin toltol, mapakaray, ma-maintain [ the new ambulance will be used properly and must be maintained].

” Magsunod kita sa guidelines na ipapasunod nya na DOH” [we will follow the guidelines of the DOH], said Aguinillo.

“Sisiguradohon nya na LGU na tama a pag-gamit nyading mga ambulance” [we will follow the guidelines of the DOH. The LGU assures the proper use of the ambulance], explained Aguinillo.

Municipal Health Officer Breandovin Saez, in the same video message, says that the Sanggunian Bayan and the Mayor must make policy in the proper use of the said ambulance.

The Department of Health (DOH) Bicol, in a press statement yesterday, says that they already completed the distribution of sixty (60) units of land ambulances and eight (8) sea ambulances across the Bicol Region last August 18.

“All recipients of these vehicles are reminded to observe efficient use and proper care strictly. Truly, pag sama, kayang-kaya para sa Serbisyong Salud Bikolnon”, DOH Bicol explained.

Meanwhile, The Sanggunian Bayan of Buhi has pending before the laws committee proposed ordinance providing guidelines in the use and care of ambulances.

The said ordinance was filed by Councilor Ting Villadares a year ago, and until this writing, no action yet from the laws committee.
