PSO-designate Venerando Claveria (in blue t-shirt)

The Sanggunian Bayan (SB) of Buhi confirms this morning Public Safety Officer-Designate Venerando Claveria as a regular member of the Municipal Tricycle Franchising and Regulatory Board (MTFRB).

Councilor Ting Villadares, chair of the SB transportation committee, filed SB Resolution No. 20-158 confirming MTFRB Resolution No. 20-011, including PSO-Designate, as a regular member of the MTFRB.

Villadares said that the representation of Claveria in the MTFRB is very vital; being a deputized officer assisting the police in the enforcement of the transport and traffic code.
Claveria’s presence in the MTFRB will ensure first-hand information of our tricycle activities, especially that we are facing the pandemic of Covid-19 and community quarantine, says Villadares.

MTFRB is a policy-making and regulatory body assisting the SB in its power mainly in the granting of the franchise and the regulation of tricycle operation within the municipality’s territorial jurisdiction, subject to the guidelines prescribed by the Department of Transportation DOTr.

Vice Mayor Jofred N. Balagot is the chairman of the MTFRB. SB transportation chair Ting Villadares as Vice-chairman while SB legal matters chair Loreto Camasis, Municipal Engineer Herminio Odiada, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC) Agnete Noble, Municipal Treasurer Nilda Salvo, Liga ng mga Barangay President Bernard Dasmarinas, Chief of Police Elein Legacion, President of Budistea(vacant) and the President of Buhi Tricycle Drivers and operators Nicanor Delmita as members.
