The Local Government of Buhi (LGU-Buhi) designated isolation facility at the new Rural Health Center at barangay San Buenaventura of this town did not pass the standard of the Department of Health (DOH).
That was the statement of Municipal Health Officer Breandovin R. Saez contained in the committee report of the Sanggunian Bayan (SB) health committee reported by Councilor Maria Bella Z. Nonato last Monday, August 22.
The LGU-Buhi will transfer the facility at the evacuation center building beside the Buhi Millenium Center once the existing offices therein have vacated, the report said.
Saez also said that as soon as the swab test results of the remaining patients in the facility arrived, they will be pulling out the said facility.
Meanwhile, the Sanggunian Bayan of Buhi adopted the request of the barangay Council of San Buenaventura to close the road adjacent to the said isolation area to control the people passing by, primarily because it is near the Buhi public market, the BRWSA-MPC office, and dwellings of informal settlers.
In a related development, the LGU-Buhi has also established three (3) Barangay Isolation Unit (BUI) at barangays of Gabas, Macaangay, and Cagmaslog to cater to the isolation of returning Locally Stranded Individual (LSI) native to the place.
