Councilor Ting Villadares on Monday filed a measure adopting the “Bida ang May Disiplina” Program of the national government.

Villadares filed Sanggunian Bayan Resolution 166, aims to embrace the consolidated Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) advocacy program “Disiplina Muna” and the Department of Health (DOH) advocacy program “BIDA.”

DILG’s “Disiplina Muna” advocacy seeks to rebuild the culture of discipline among Filipinos as a means of fostering people’s participation, which is one of the views of good governance, Villadares said.

DOH’s “BIDA” advocacy, on the other hand, seeks to promote the active role of the individual in the fight against Covid-19 by practicing the following behavior: B – Bawal ang walang mask, I – Isanitize ang mga kamay, iwas hawak sa mga bagay, D – Dumistansya ng isang metro, A – Alamain ang totoong impormasyon, explained Villadares.

According to the councilor, the DILG has partnered with Limitless LAB in producing open-source toolkits/IEC materials for LGUs, markets, public utility vehicles, schools. These will be made available to downloaded online for free at https://adapt.ph/lgu/,www.doh.gov.ph/bidasolusyon and   , www.facebook.com/disiplinamunapilipinas .

Meanwhile, Buhi Magazine and Buhi Forum will also participate in the advocacy campaign by regularly posting the program’s IEC materials and toolkits.
