Buhi, Camarines Sur —A 48-year-old municipal health worker in Buhi town in Camarines Sur became the 9th case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Buhi on Monday (September 28).

According to the Local Government of Buhi (LGU-Buhi), the woman tagged as Bicol # 1854 is residing at Barangay Sta. Elena of this town and has no travel history.

On September 21, Bicol # 1854 showed signs of illness and underwent a swab test on September 25. She is Sars CoV2 positive based on the test result released yesterday.

The patient is currently at a quarantine facility and for transfer at the Camarines Sur Provincial Medical Center (CSPMC) in Pili, Camarines Sur, according to the LGU-Buhi report.

In Barangay Sta. Elena, a localized lockdown, was effected since yesterday.

LGU-Buhi stops the Rural Health Unit (RHU) operation this morning until the test results of other health workers are released, LGU-Buhi reported.

The Municipality will not accept new admission at LGU managed isolation facilities started yesterday, September 28, until further notice, the report further explained.

This new case is the 9th case of COVID-19 in Buhi, under a more relaxed modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) since May of this year.
